SOPA and Pipa officially shelved

Maybe I'm a bit late to the party, SOPA and pipa officially shelved pending review by the US government the gaurdian and Washington Post confirm. This is a massive Strike against tyranny of the RIAA and other various groups, however, the show does not end there.

Although the wikipedia blackout on January 18 in which the site reports over 115,000 other sites participated in can be considered a remarkable success for not only online activism in general but freedom lovers everywhere, There is still concern over a few other agreements which will become important in the coming months, including but not limited to The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), which is a proposed plurilateral agreement for the purpose of establishing international standards on intellectual property rights enforcement.

I don't wish to end the victory celebrations prematurely, the 8million people who apparently rang their varying representatives in the US did a tremendous job in turning the tides of the vote and eventually bringing the bill to the shelf. This was equally important in the UK, where the extradition treaty between the US and the UK allows the US to demand the extradition of UK citizens without probable cause, a disgusting procedure which lead to this man.

Richard o dwyer, pictured here putting an increadibly brave face infront of his crying mother, being exported to america for allegedly linking to sites hosting copyrighted material illegally. The site he linked to, had been promoted and linked to and advertised on by numerous proponents of SOPA, including CBS, C-Net, Last FM and others. I could talk about the hypocracy of the RIAA in prosecuting him but not their buddies all day but this guy explains the story much better than I ever can.

Currently however, the most terrifying part of the whole thing other than the extradition powers held by the US over the UK's citizens, is that this is just one step of the fight.

UK Government Holding "Secret" meetings with rights holders Over "Great Firewall Of Britain" Proposals

Confidential documents sent to a slightly right of centre blog show the UK government are in secret, undemocratic and confidential talks with rights holders Including the Premiere League, Publishers Association, BPI, Motion Picture Association and others.

The documents have been released in full by the open rights group and are available here.

Here at esotruthica I shall be analysing the documents over the next few days and doing a sumary video.

This all comes just days after techdirt and others wrote articals revealing that eircom, an irish telecoms company who were sued by the recording industry for not implimenting a "3 strikes" plan, had sent "1st strike" letters to people who were entirely innocent.

The controversial "3 Strikes Plan" is a plan where internet users who are accused (note, not found) to be infringing on content holders rights are blacklisted and no longer able to get internet services accross all ISP's in that country. It has been condemned by the UN.

The UK Government are again acting on behalf of big businesses and lobyists without paying attention to the needs of the people they are supposed to be serving, the people.

The UK government are comprised of "public servants" who are supposed to serve the public. This document calls into question if they really are serving the public...again.

National Office of Stastics Confirms No Census Leak

The register have confirmed that The Office for National Statistics has confirmed that UK census data collected in March is safe and has not been hacked.

A claim was made by someone purporting to be one Ryan Cleary and identifying him as being the leader of online hacking group lulzsec made a post on internet site pastebin claiming that the details of 25 million uk households had been stolen and would be leaked shortly.

The national office for statistics have now officially denied the claim stating

“The claim that hackers got in looks like a hoax and our investigation concluded that there is no sign of any suspicious activity. The alleged hackers have also denied any involvement.”

“However, we are not complacent and will remain vigilant. The security and confidentiality of census data remain our top priority."

Fingers crossed that my fears in previous posts were unfounded.

However, the census was contracted out to Lockheed martin, a weapons manufacturer and security contractor who I've found out on June the 6th had indeed suffered a compromise in their internal systems after using RSA's compromised SecurID chips for verification.

I would always recommend refusing to give details to private corporations simply because they threaten fines for not doing it. It's a Mafia style of government and it's time we as human beings learned to say no. I'd recommend anyone watching who wishes to learn how to say no start looking into the person, and legal fictions. A good place to start is tpuc.org, fmotl.com and research the works of Robert Arthur Mernard, John Harris, Ben Lowery, creditors in commerce and freetheplanet.net.

Lulzsec have recently joined forces with Anonops, and are now involved in operation AntiSec, an anti government operation originally proposed by the at times morally grey internet superhero's anonymous. “Operation Anti sec” has goals of hacking government institutions and releasing classified information on illegal government acts and corruption. Lulzsec and anonops state the first data dump will be tomorrow.

I'll be scouring the posts for any information as soon as possible, we will analyse and report on any relevant leaks that this operation procures so keep an eye on the blog, I'll be posting video's and blog posts shortly about other important news events, as obviously this claim has dominated my channel within the last few days and the freedom world hasn't stopped. I of course do not condone immoral actions by anyone, and I certainly don't wish to necessarily condone the actions of anonymous, however, anonymous is decentralised, it has no leaders, and with the impact their support has had in the continuing revolution in Spain, which the media is outright ignoring I assume in fears that it could cause the rest of Europe to do similar, it seems with them and lulzsec joining forces as announced on Tuesday to expose government corruption....well....this game is about to get very interesting indeed. It appears the internet hate machine anonymous could be anywhere and anyone, so the governments of the world may have bitten off more than they can chew.

They may use this to try and stop anonymity on the internet altogether, anonymity is the foundation of the internet, and a very important tool in what some term the info war against the creeping policestate, It's time to take back the world, our world, and implement the state of peace and abundance this planet was created to allow us to produce. I talk a lot sometimes about fear based subjects, however, the information virus that propagates and allows for people to outsource their opinions and world-views to the big three media corporations stifling opinion and debate, that causes people to hide behind a government who repeatedly abuses them and their brethren under the guise of the abstract concept of “liberty” feeds on fear.

In my mind and heart, I know fear to be falsehood. The information virus of false hierarchies and dog eat dog structures can attempt to destroy my body or try to impede my freedom under threat, or some false system of monopoly money, but, the only way they can cause me to assist them, is by infiltrating my mind with fear and causing me to acquiesce to the hierarchy that attempts to enslaves us.

The only way I've found to disregard that fear is to understand that it is better to die with a free mind, than to live under another rule.

Esotruthica Receives Transmission From the Future

The Above Transmission has apparently been received from an alternate future, begging us to avert the catastrophy that has befallen love police member 26421, known as "Dan" from the Year 2019.

Of course, with what we know of time travel, the very presence of this message in this timeline will cause "quantum divergence" meaning that the future dan is sending this from has been altered by the messages very presence in this timeline.

Of course, how much our future and the future dan transmitting from differ.....is down to how well we heed this message.

Earlier on, I accidentally linked to an artical featuring personal information about the hacker in question, I appologise.

LulzSec has denied the claims of Ryan Cleary that he was their captain, and have also denied his claims that he was acting on their behalf when he claimed on internet site pastebin that they were in posession of the UK census database and would be releasing the details at thepiratebay.

The UK media have echoed the official line that scotland Yard was investigating Ryan Cleary on charges of hacking into CIA and Britain's Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca). And have claimed that he was indeed, the “leader” of LulzSec, in truth, he ran a mirror of ex anonymous wiki encyclopedia dramatica where he hosted an IRC chat used by the group.

The group LulzSec continue to operate unimpeded. Whether his claims were or were not on the behalf of lulzSec, it is becoming increasingly evident that they were either of no merit, or are not being reported on, the census information buero has said the following: "We are aware of the suggestion that census data has been accessed. We are working with our security advisers and contractors to establish whether there is any substance to this. The 2011 Census places the highest priority on maintaining the security of personal data. At this stage we have noevidence to suggest that any such compromise has occurred."

The information has indeed gone viral, however, regardless of lulsec and anonymous repeated statement that this Ryan Cleary was operationaly a nobody within the organisation, many media outlets are failing to report this, still reporting under the assumption that the UK Government and the FBI have indeed found their man.

This may have been simply a wakeup call from a now deposed would be leader, or it may not.

It is still imperitive that we all do what we can to keep our data secure from people. Some Hacktivists may appear to be working for the greater good, however, some, clearly may not be, and simply using the data of people as pawns in a game of chess played for entertainment. With LulzSec claiming ownership of the hacking of various corporations, such as the sony PSN, Fox and similar, it is imperitive people keep their own data secure from the corporations who choose not to impliment tighter security.

I'm not condoning what LulzSec do, however there will always be groups doing such things, finding ways to break shoddy security and similar. It is imperitive that peoples resolve stays at this time, and watch and understand closely what they are trading when they give their information to a private corporation in return for some benefit.

The information war is breaking out, the big international players are still in the game, and within the last 19 minutes of me writing this post, a new line from lulzsec.

"To all the eager and intelligent press, our tweets are lighthearted, but the work is ongoing hard. We have a lot of data to sift through. :)"

This may be innocent teasing, this may not. Our eyes are still on LulzSec, and the moment we hear more, so will you.
